Embrace the fall feels on 54th and Nicollet as we celebrate the abundance of the harvest with a day of family-friendly activities on October 11th! Kids and adults alike will enjoy searching for hidden treasures amongst our seasonal displays in our scavenger hunt, getting hands-on with our pumpkin decorating contest, and visiting with a baby Highland cow from the Tangletown Farm.
Farm to Biergarten
The fun doesn't stop at Tangletown! Take a stroll across 54th to enjoy the Wise Acre Biergarten with fest beer, sausages, hot cider, and other seasonal fare. Enjoy music, games, and the all farm-to-table goodness Wise Acre has to offer. Brunch available 8am-3pm, Biergarten open Noon-6pm.
Hooray for Sweater Weather!
Snap a photo at Tangletown Gardens surrounded by our inspirational autumn vignettes of specialty pumpkins, colorful mums, majestic grasses, and other unique botanical elements. Dress your best for a cute photo op, or have fun wearing your lederhosen or Halloween costume!
Pumpkin Carving Contest
Show us your best pumpkin art! Carve a masterpiece, paint a Picasso on a pumpkin, or bedazzle your way to fall glam. Get creative in whatever way you'd like! Every participant who enters a pumpkin will receive $10 in Tanglebucks, plus additional gift card prizes for First Place and Honorable Mentions!
Contest Rules:
1) Purchase a pumpkin of your choosing, and pick up an entry form at Tangletown Gardens.
2) Decorate your pumpkin any way you’d like!
3) Bring your pumpkin to Oktoberfest on Oct. 11 between 9am and 1pm to enter the contest. Bring your entry form with you, or fill one out when you arrive.
4) Winners will be announced at 2pm - you do not need to be present to win.
Each participant will receive one $10 Tanglebucks certificate (regardless of number of entries). Tanglebucks can be spent anytime at Tangletown Gardens. First Place in each category will receive $200 total in Tangletown and Wise Acre gift cards. Honorable Mentions will receive $50 Tangletown gift cards.
